Political Action Committee
Interested in becoming active on the political side of your union? It's a myth that your regular member dues go towards supporting political candidates. Instead, the PAC (Political Action Committee) is responsible for endorsing candidates and donating money and resources to their campaigns. It's easy to become a member of the PAC. Click on one of the links below to donate to the OEA PAC and you will also become a local MEA PAC member. You can donate as little as $5. Opportunities for PAC members include:
partipating on the PAC interview committee to endorse local candidates
attending the OEA PAC conference to endorse state and national candidates
leadership opportunites locally and with OEA
opportunities to build relationships with state and local representatives to have your voice heard
