About Us

The Madras Education Association (MEA) is the bargaining unit of the Jefferson County School District (JCSD 509j) and a local affiliate of the Oregon Education Association (OEA) and National Education Association (NEA).

Madras is located in the beautiful Central Oregon. Our association is made up of over 200 educators of the Jefferson County School District. Our members are licensed professionals who work tirelessly to lead our profession in order to positively impact the lives of our students and our community.

The Madras Education Association is an organization of educators dedicated to advancing and promoting quality public education, improving teaching and learning conditions, and protecting members' rights.
